Director of the Language Center
The Language Center is a community of learners and teachers in a technology-rich space for languages at the College. The Director is charged with fostering and enriching this learning community of students and faculty, and providing administrative oversight and management of the Language Center to ensure its vibrant and effective functioning with exceptional service to those who use it. The Director develops and extends the College's capabilities for teaching and learning with digital media and educational technologies to enhance language learning and teaching and encourages innovative use of learning and teaching technologies.
Laboratory Manager and Instrument Technician
The laboratory manager works closely with students, faculty, and staff in support of the teaching and research mission of the Chemistry Department at Carleton College. The successful applicant will have a broad knowledge of chemical reactivity and the safe handling of chemicals, as well as demonstrated experience with the theory, troubleshooting, and maintenance of chemical instrumentation.
Administrative and Events Assistant
The Administrative and Events Assistant is part of the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) office administrative team and provides administrative support to the staff and the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) Executive office.
Workday Testing Lead - temporary
The Temporary Workday Testing Lead coordinates and monitors the testing process during the implementation of the Workday Student functionality. This position works closely with the Workday project manager, the ITS Business Analyst, and the Workday workstream leads. Full time, temporary January 2023 - May 2024.
Visiting Assistant Professor of Statistics
The Carleton College Department of Mathematics and Statistics anticipates hiring a Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics for a one-year appointment to begin September 1, 2023. A PhD in statistics, biostatistics or data science in hand or imminent completion by September 1 is preferred. Candidates with a PhD in a closely related field may be considered, but they must have training in statistics and be proficient with the software package R.
Area Director
The Area Director is a live-in staff member who works with the staff and students to develop a comfortable living and learning environment and assists individuals with their personal development. As a member of the Residential Life Staff within the Division of Student Life, the Area Director will serve in many capacities including the roles of a community builder, educator, adviser, supervisor, and administrator. In these roles the Area Director helps to shape the quality of the residential experience for the students.
Library Evening Supervisor
The Library Evening Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Access Services desk operations during evening hours; including, but not limited to circulation of library materials and stacks maintenance. This position also serves as the main point of contact during evening hours and must maintain excellent customer service with students, faculty, staff, and the public. This position works evening and weekend hours. The anticipated end date of this position ends June 2023.
Marketing Strategist for Admissions and Financial Aid
Through their work, the marketing strategist is expected to develop a deep understanding of the needs of prospective students and their families, as well as the college application process and awarding of financial aid. The marketing strategist plays the role of advocate and subject matter expert for their campus partners in Admissions and Financial Aid, as well as their colleagues in the Division of Communications, bringing clarity and synthesis to the work of both teams.

Associate Director of Health Promotion
Carleton College seeks an Associate Director of Health Promotion to contribute to the overall goals of the College by supporting a comprehensive and co-curricular program for approximately 2,000 undergraduate students. The Associate Director reports to the Director of Health Promotion and will serve as a primary contact on campus in: Advocating for healthy environments. Skill building to promote overall well-being.
