The temporary, part-time Project Associate for 2021-2022 is responsible for supporting the continuing work of the community research teams in Faribault and continued development of the PAR website that began as part of the Carleton Faribault PAR collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly support for community research teams (e.g. attending meetings, take notes, procuring supplies)
  • Updating and content creation for PAR website in English and Spanish
  • Administrative support for community research teams (e.g. paperwork for paying stipends)

Required Qualifications

  • Being able to drive themselves to and from and around Faribault
  • Flexibility in work hours (there will be some evening and weekend hours)
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills
  • Respect for community knowledge and expertise
  • Experience and familiarity with community-based/participatory research, community-based work or internship, community organizing, or other similar experience.
  • Knowledge about and connections to Faribault community
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish
  • At least high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Website development/content creation skills

This is a non-exempt level staff position.
