Position Overview
This is a full-time position in our ITS department that will be part of our team that supports our enterprise applications. This is an exciting time for this team, as we launch a campus-wide initiative to modernize our enterprise applications. The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to participate from the outset of this project and work with our team to learn and implement applications such as Workday, Workday Prism, Workday integration tools, and the SnapLogic iPaaS tool.

The ideal Enterprise Analyst-Developer will have a background in modern coding environments and tools, such as REST web services and API development. They will enjoy working closely with various departments, as well as IT business analysts, to implement fixes, enhancements, and new technologies. They will be willing to provide backup coverage for other members of the Enterprise Information Systems team. Further, in our constantly changing world of technology, the ideal candidate will have a thirst for learning new technologies.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities

Data and Integrations
• Work with IT staff as well as campus constituents to implement and build a new integration environment using modem integration tools and techniques as part of our integrations team. Our primary tool is moving forward will be SnapLogic.
• Continually develop knowledge in integration technologies and strategies
• Monitor and triage incoming tickets for new and existing integrations
• Assist with documentation of integrations

Application Support
• Provide support for assigned software applications. Applications are a blend of on-premise and cloud deployments, but have been moving towards more cloud deployments over time
• Act as liaison with software vendors as assigned
• Develop productive relationships with IT staff and users
• Promote sharing of information and expertise
• Continually develop knowledge in all areas of EIS team to provide overlap support
• Promote proper use and security of college data

Required Qualifications
This position is being posted at two grade levels.

To be considered at Grade 13, you must meet the minimum required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and two to four years of experience in web and software development, and full-time work experience with integrated information systems, systems analysis, design, and coding.

To be considered at Grade 14, you must meet the minimum required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and five or more years of full-time work experience with integrated information systems, software development, systems analysis, design, and coding.
  • Experience with: SnapLogic; Workday integration tools; REST web services; c# programming;
    Apache Tomcat; HTML/CSS; java; GIT; project management software such as Asana or Jira; modem integration platforms; identity management applications, and .NET framework;

At both Grade 13 and 14 levels selected candidates are expected to bring:
• A strong foundation in database concepts
• Strong oral and written communication skills; polished interpersonal skills
• Evidence of superior analytical and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to adapt to a fluid work environment, including team and independent responsibilities
• Demonstrated commitment to collaborative decision-making
• Desire and ability to work with end-users and other IT staff

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree and at least five years of full-time progressive work experience with integrated information systems, systems analysis, design, and coding
• Knowledge of the theories, principles, and current trends of integrated information systems
• Experience with industry-standard integration tools such as SnapLogic, Informatica, Mulesoft
• Familiarity with the support of any of the following products is a plus: MS SQL Server and related tools; Ellucian Colleague; Ellucian Ethos or other enterprise integration or ESB tools; Salesforce; Salesforce Apex; Hyland OnBase
• Experience with industry-standard reporting software, such as SSRS, Cognos, Tableau
• Experience with end-user support and training
• Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner using a wide variety of presentation strategies (e.g., graphs, tables, text, multi-media)
• Experience with data governance concepts as well as data dictionary tools.

Special Instructions to Applicants
This position is not a remote position. The selected finalist will be offered a hybrid work schedule which is a combination of in-office and telecommute days per week from the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota.
