Position OverviewAs the country and colleges and universities continue to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, the Infectious Disease Lead and Health Practitioner position provides leadership and direction related to infectious disease planning, coordination, and response at Carleton. She/he/they will work within existing infectious disease structures and enhance and/or create new structures that will make more efficient Carleton’s ability to manage future pandemics.
In addition to infectious disease response, this position will provide health care to Carleton students (16-24 year olds), within a collaborative team environment of Advanced Practice Providers, Psychologists/Counselors, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Dietitian. As an advanced practice provider, the role offers clinical services and preventative care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to Carleton students via scheduled individual appointments, telephone triage, and some walk-in care. As a registered nurse, the role offers support to advanced practice providers as well as providing clinical care within the registered nurse scope of practice and per standing orders within the clinic through the same appointment modalities. She/he/they will also work closely with other members of Student Health and Counseling in the ongoing development of integrated physical and mental health services.
