Assistant Professor of Political Science

Assistant Director of Institutional Research and Assessment
The Assistant Director works with stakeholders across campus to support Carleton College’s compliance, accreditation, planning, and review efforts. The Assistant Director ensures data integrity while providing leadership, technical expertise, and oversight in the development of research initiatives, reports and analyses, and data access tools. This position is focused on analyzing and reporting data related to institutional and programmatic operational improvement, inclusion, equity, and diversity, and benchmarking efforts.

Indigenous Communities Liaison
In the 2020-2021 school year, Carleton rolled out a new land acknowledgement statement reckoning with its relationship to the dispossession of Dakota people. In it, the College committed to “acts of healing and honest storytelling,” promises that require both external and internal initiatives. The Indigenous Communities Liaison, housed in the Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE), will strengthen the College’s ability to enact its land acknowledgement commitments, partner with tribal governments and Native organizations, and promote the well-being of Native members of the campus community. Such efforts will include, among others, building better relations with Native nations and improving how Carleton engages Native people and Native-related issues for inclusion, diversity, and equity and its current antiracism initiatives. Japanese Language Assistant
We are looking for an energetic individual who can work closely with our undergraduate students both inside and outside the classroom, and who will support our energetic community of Japanese learners and speakers on campus. Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing all maintenance activities for all trades as assigned for campus building and assets.
STEM Program Manager
The STEM Program Manager’s key charge is to build community and foster collaboration across STEM fields and between STEM and other disciplines and communities. The STEM Program Manager is a professional who fosters cross-disciplinary research and teaching collaborations and professional development collaborations (for students, staff, and faculty). The STEM Program Manager also oversees the building operations of the Science Complex.
Assistant to the Director of the Language Center
The Assistant to the Director of the Language Center is a part-time (20 hours/week during the academic year) position which provides office management assistance. Assists with room scheduling in the Language Center, compiles information for use in Director’s reports, supervises student workers, manages the workspace, helps with Language Center-related events, and carries out several IT-related responsibilities.
Advanced Practice Practitioner
The position provides primary health care to college students (16-24 year olds) independently, within a collaborative team environment of Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists/Counselors, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Dietitian. The Advanced Practice Provider offers clinical services and preventative care to Carleton students via scheduled individual appointments, telephone triage, and some walk-in care. Works closely with other members of Student Health and Counseling in the ongoing development of integrated physical and mental health services. Reports to the Director of Student Health and Counseling.
Office Coordinator - temporary
Working under the AVP for External Relations, the temporary part-time Office Coordinator oversees and manages all office procedures and operations for the Office of College Communications. This position provides administrative assistance for the AVP for External Relations and also helps to serve the administrative needs of the departments within College Communications: Creative Strategy, College Events, and Digital Strategy and Public Affairs.
Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor in Cognitive Science

Area Director
The Area Director is a live-in staff member who works with the staff and students to develop a comfortable living and learning environment and assists individuals with their personal development. As a member of the Residential Life Staff within the Division of Student Life, the Area Director will serve in many capacities including the roles of a community builder, educator, adviser, supervisor, and administrator. In these roles the Area Director helps to shape the quality of the residential experience for the students.
