Hazardous Materials Program Manager
The Hazardous Materials Program Manager works under the direction of the Director of EH&S and in collaboration with College leadership, faculty, and staff to improve the campus safety culture and promote injury prevention efforts.
Alumni Relations Associate
This position is a temporary, full-time member of the Alumni Relations staff, responsible for alumni relations, volunteer management, and support of the overall mission of the office to connect alumni with each other and the College and to encourage and support useful and active stewardship of all alumni. This position provides support for additional programs and activities delayed due to COVID. This position is open to Carleton employees only. Assistant Director of Student Activities
Carleton College seeks an Assistant Director of Student Activities to contribute to the overall goals of the College and the Division of Student life by supporting a vibrant, comprehensive, and co-curricular program for approximately 2,000 undergraduate students.
Library Administration Assistant
The Library Administrative Assistant is a member of the Administration Department and has primary responsibility for providing support to this department. This position will provide administrative support to the College Librarian and the Assistant to the College Librarian & Operations Manager.
Security Officer
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security for the members of the Carleton community and the physical property of Carleton College. In addition, security personnel are the first call for help for medical and criminal emergencies and after-hour maintenance problems. This position works 10-hour shifts on an 8-week rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Shift hours do not rotate but are subject to change to meet organizational needs. Periodically, there are opportunities to change schedule hours based on service years and/or shift preference. This is a fully-benefit eligible position. Starting rate of pay $25.23-26.63 per hour, dependent on qualifications.
Reference & Instruction Librarian for Languages and Cultures
The Reference & Instruction Librarian for Languages and Cultures serves as liaison to selected humanities departments and helps carry out the mission of the Reference & Instruction department to support the teaching and learning goals of the college. We emphasize excellent service to students, faculty, and staff, assistance and support for student research, active participation in campus initiatives, and involvement in the campus intellectual life. As part of this team, the Reference and Instruction Librarian will provide instruction one-on-one at the Research/IT desk, in appointments, and during information literacy instruction sessions in a manner that supports the curriculum and mission of the college. The Reference and Instruction Librarian for Languages and Cultures reports to the Head of Reference and Instruction.
Evaluation/Education Associate
The evaluation/education associate will design, implement, and report on research and evaluation studies of educational projects including curriculum development projects, professional development programs, student learning assessments, and websites. This work will involve collaboration with project leadership at SERC and collaborating institutions, the SERC Director, and other staff.
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
The Carleton College Department of Mathematics and Statistics anticipates hiring for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 1, 2022. Ph.D. in hand or imminent completion by that date is expected. Appointment at a higher level may be considered in exceptional cases.

Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Cowling Arboretum
The Administrative Assistant manages the office and provides administrative support to the arboretum director, and department staff in order to enhance program operations. This employee facilitates the internal and external communications of the department.
Custodians do a variety of cleaning and disinfecting within their assigned buildings/areas to maintain a clean, safe work environment for the campus community. This is a full-time union staff position.
Sexual Violence Prevention Coordinator
The Sexual Violence Prevention Coordinator will support Sexual Misconduct Prevention & Response efforts to foster a working, learning and living environment that is free from sex-based discrimination, particularly sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and other forms of harassment. In addition to facilitating all current sexual violence prevention efforts, the position will also coordinate strategic planning for new programming, and assist with training and response to sexual misconduct.
Director of Planned Giving
The Director of Planned Giving is responsible for working with individual donors, providing support to other members of the Development staff, and managing, with oversight from the Senior Director of Major and Planned Giving, the marketing and management of Carleton's planned giving program. The person in this position will have two .50 FTE direct reports. Additionally, they will be expected to work with our Legal Counsel, the Major Gifts team, and the Milestone Reunions group.
Assistant Professor of Spanish
The Department of Spanish at Carleton College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Spanish beginning September 1, 2022. Content Specialist
The Content Specialist works as part of the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) web team at Carleton College to support projects fostering STEM learning, and to develop and deploy professional development programming, develop new and improve existing websites, and assist in education research and evaluation projects lead by people at SERC and partner institutions.
Investment Analyst
Reporting to the Director of Investments, the Investment Analyst will be an integral member of the Carleton College Investment Office team. The Investment Analyst will provide support on a number of investment activities and certain operational tasks.
Accessibility Specialist
The Accessibility Specialist will promote access to the Carleton curricular, co-curricular, residential, and campus employment opportunities for students with disabilities. The Accessibility Specialist maintains a caseload of students with disabilities, conducts the interactive process, reviews assessment reports and documentation from providers, determine and communicate accommodations, provide coaching and support to students with disabilities.
Area Director
The Area Director is a live-in staff member who works with the staff and students to develop a comfortable living and learning environment and assists individuals with their personal development. As a member of the Residential Life Staff within the Division of Student Life, the Area Director will serve in many capacities including the roles of a community builder, educator, adviser, supervisor, and administrator. In these roles the Area Director helps to shape the quality of the residential experience for the students. The Department of Residential Life supports the educational goals of the students and the mission of the college.
